School Vision Statement

"Inspiring passionate minds": Our goal is to provide a Catholic educational environment in which each child can grow and develop to his or her fullest potential. This can be achieved and enhanced by home, school and parish working together in a collaborative partnership. Within our Catholic Christian context, we can prepare children for the future, for the rights and responsibilities of citizenship and for daily life in our rapidly changing world.
School Mission Statement
In order to prepare our students to live in and contribute to a changing world and engage in active faith-filled, lifelong learning; St. John Bosco School provides an interactive and collaborative inquiry based learning environment that promotes higher level critical thinking utilizing real-world tools.

School Motto

Our school motto, "Celebrating God and Youth", expresses how we celebrate God and youth each and everyday. At St. John Bosco School, we maintain high standards of academics and discipline in a nurturing, inclusive and faith-based environment; ensuring that all of our actions are permeated in faith, love and forgiveness towards building hope in all.
ABOUT ME
Introductory Statement
I am so excited to begin my first year at St. John Bosco! I will be the online teacher for Grade 2/3!

Mission Statement
I believe that all children are a gift from God. I believe that each child needs a safe environment to learn and grow in. Each child learns a different way and their learning needs should be accommodated. As a teacher it is my duty to help children reach their full potential by knowing that it is okay to take risks and make mistakes . As a Catholic Educator it is my job to help students follow the path of Jesus.

Teaching/ Work Experiences
I have worked with Edmonton Catholic Schools for eight years. Throughout this time I have worked primarily in lower elementary. I taught the last 6 years at Ecole Bishop Savaryn in Kindergarten- Grade 2. I am looking forward to continuing my teaching journey at St. John Bosco!

Life Outside of School
When I am not at work my favourite thing to do is spend time with my family, which includes my 20 month old daughter and my husband! As a family we love to travel, especially to the mountains and beach. I love to hike, read, and go to country concerts! I am also a proud Auntie to 3 nieces and 1 nephew!
